Pre-Crime Arrests Prior to Royal Wedding

We told you to expect a lot at the Royal Wedding. Unfortunately, not a lot of it happened. That’s because we didn’t expect the British police force to be so utterly ridiculous and undemocratic. Obviously our police force is a big fan of the monarchy; they do, after all, wear the crown on their hats. Many republican activists and protesters were arrested and held in a prison cell for up to 24 hours because they might or might not cause disruption on the day of the Royal Wedding.

The “conspiracy to cause a public nuisance” charge was brought to Chris Knight, a professor of anthropology, his partner Camilla Power, friend Patrick Macroidan, and Charlie Veitch along with over fifty others.

The above is a video of Charlie Veitch’s arrest, and below is Chris Knight’s arrest.

These arrests are so ridiculous and such an insult towards democracy that I really don’t have anything to say. This is certainly a far greater embarrassment for the Metropolitan Police than any Royal Wedding protest could be. It only serves as an example of the police “service”, who are supposed to be protecting us, making extra effort to protect the elitist monarchy.
